The Environmental & Toxic Tort Practice Group specializes in defending toxic tort cases involving exposure to lead paint, asbestos, benzene, carbon monoxide, mold chemical substances, ground water and clean up claims. We are frequently requested to handle multi-party plaintiff cases, and are involved in consolidated and multi-district (MDL) litigation, including most recently, toxic exposure arising out of the clean up at the World Trade Center disaster and lower Manhattan. We defend matters throughout the metropolitan New York area, and have been asked to defend particular cases in upstate New York.
Our attorneys specialize in defending environmental claims and proceedings including CERCLA and oil spill claims, as well as property contamination cases and other state statutory and common law pollution-related matters, and insurance coverage disputes in these areas.
The group’s trial attorneys have obtained dismissals and defense verdicts in significant exposure cases.
