Harrington, Ocko & Monk’s real estate practice group has served the Westchester and New York communities for over three decades, representing owners, investors, developers and sponsors in the acquisition and financing of multi-million dollar commercial real estate. Our clients’ properties and acquisition targets include office buildings, condominium portfolios, retail and mixed use properties. Our real estate attorneys are directly involved and advise our clients from the very beginning of the due diligence stage, the negotiation of contracts through to the closing. Harrington, Ocko & Monk’s real estate practice group are also experienced at analyzing and resolving title issues that may occur. The real estate attorneys work closely with each client to efficiently and effectively achieve their objectives.
Representative Matters:
- Represented Fordham University in the sale is its Marymount Campus in Tarrytown, NY, including drafting and negotiating the sales contract and several leases for houses located on the property to be occupied after the closing.
- Represented an investor group in connection with its multi-million dollar acquisition of a portfolio of condominium units in Port Chester, NY from the prior sponsor’s lender, who had foreclosed on the properties. In this role, we advised and guided our clients in the acquisition, and negotiated the purchase agreement. We also prepared the operating and management agreements for the new ownership group.
- Represented a leading global hospitality company in its $9.85 million sale of a parcel of real estate in Manhattan to a developer, including drafting and negotiating the purchase agreement.
