BARRY N. SEIDEL

Barry N. Seidel brings 40 years of legal experience to bear representing both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy courts and boardrooms across the country, and has played a role in some of the largest and most complex Chapter 11 cases in U.S. history.

In the past few years, Barry has been retained by key stakeholders in leading corporate bankruptcies, as well as numerous other companies impacted both directly and indirectly by major corporate insolvencies.  He regularly advises debtors undergoing reorganization, official and unofficial creditors’ committees, bankruptcy fiduciaries, and insurers facing potential bond exposure, as well as purchasers of distressed debt assets.   He is currently serving as a trustee in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy case. In recent years he has represented parties being sued in connection with the SIPC liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities, LLC and in other preferenceand fraudulent transfer litigation.

Beyond his bankruptcy work, Barry’s practice is also focused on general corporate and real estate law.

Barry is a long time Westchester resident. Though his best days as an athlete are behind him, he still enjoys golf and aspires to breaking 80 again, someday.
