Asset Recovery and Judgment Enforcement

The firm’s Asset Recovery and Judgment Enforcement Group specializes in representing businesses, banks, investment groups and individuals throughout the State of New York and in federal courts involving commercial and civil litigation, asset recovery, and the enforcement of the rights of creditors. We focus on assisting clients in aggressively, intelligently, and ethically obtaining judgments and/or collecting on debts owed pursuant to loan agreements, negotiable instruments, promissory notes, lease agreements, contracts for goods sold and delivered, and services rendered. We also represent employees seeking to recover damages for breach of employment agreements relating to unpaid wages, sales commissions, or bonuses.

Even when parties have successfully litigated a case and obtained a judgment, they may find it exceedingly difficult to locate and collect on such judgment. Our firm is experienced in investigating, locating, and pursuing such assets. We are prepared to overcome the challenges present in asset recovery, including investigating and prosecuting claims related to fraudulently transferred assets, and “piercing the corporate veil” claims seeking to impose personal liability upon individuals who have abused the corporate form.

If you are interested in having our attorneys assist you in asset recovery, including obtaining and/or enforcing a judgment, please contact us for a confidential consultation.
