Harrington, Ocko & Monk’s real estate practice group represents owners and developers in the acquisition and financing of properties located primarily in New York City and Westchester County, including office buildings, condominium portfolios, retail stores and mixed-use properties. Our attorneys have substantial experience in leasing transactions, assisting both owners/landlords and commercial tenants with all types of commercial and residential leasing matters. In addition, we advise and guide our clients — owners/developers, general contractors and subcontractors — in negotiating and drafting construction-related agreements. We also have experience representing banking institutions and other lenders in all aspects of commercial and residential secured lending.
Collaboration Across Practice Areas
At Harrington, Ocko & Monk, our attorneys regularly collaborate across practice areas to provide our clients with comprehensive representation. Our real estate work often crosses over to our corporate and litigation groups. For example, as our real estate lawyers handle complex commercial leasing matters, we may need to represent a client involved in landlord-tenant litigation. Or, upon purchasing a property, a client may need to set up a new entity, draft a partnership or operating agreement, and eventually require legal guidance for internal governance matters.
As part of the outside general counsel services we provide to sophisticated business clients, we often conduct all of their commercial leasing work and real estate transactions.
Small by Design/Large-Firm Experience
Due to our small size and emphasis on personal service, our clients benefit from working directly with sophisticated and skilled senior attorneys at every step. From initial negotiations to closing, clients work with lawyers who have handled multi-million-dollar real estate transactions and have an in-depth understanding of your unique needs.
Whether you are an owner, developer, buyer or seller, we have the background and training required to not only meet, but exceed your expectations. We invite you to contact us to arrange a consultation. For the convenience of our clients, we have offices in Manhattan and White Plains.
