SCOTT A. MAUTNER

Scott A. Mautner is counsel to the firm. Mr. Mautner’s practice focuses on complex corporate and real estate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, start-up financings and related corporate advice, and acquisitions, sales, financing and leasing of commercial real estate. He has represented companies at all stages of their life cycle, from start-up to exit, and regularly acts as outside general counsel to start-up and mid-market companies. Mr. Mautner represents clients involved in all industries, but he has a particular focus on technology, media and telecom matters.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Mautner served as the General Counsel and a member of senior management for several technology, media and telecom companies for well over a decade. His senior management experience provides Mr. Mautner with unique insight into both commercial and legal issues facing clients and allows him to provide specialized strategic guidance.

Prior to joining Harrington Ocko & Monk, Mr. Mautner founded his own law firm and then served as a Partner at another law firm.

Representative Matters

• Acquired commercial real estate from a private equity real estate firm for $25 million.
• Sold a promotions company in a strategic acquisition for approximately $30 million.
• Sold a health care advisory and technology firm to a private equity firm for approximately $8 million.
• Closed several rounds of convertible notes, SAFES, preferred equity for a variety of clients ranging in size from $1 million to $5 million.
• As General Counsel, closed equity financing transactions (including a Series B Preferred Stock round of $45 million.
• As General Counsel, closed and restructured debt in excess of $140 million.
• As General Counsel, closed strategic acquisitions of competitors of approximately $75 million.
• As General Counsel, closed the sale of his employers for over $300 million in aggregate consideration.
